Five-day training on the National Adolescent Health Programme is also known as the Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK) was held from 24 – 28th June 2019 at Dibrugarh for the officials of Bharatiya Cha Parishad. A total of 26 officials participated in the training. Mr. Diganta Kr Barman, District Coordinator and Mr. Karna Barman, Block Training and Field Facilitator (BTFF), CINI Assam Unit were the resource persons for the training.
The training was mainly based on the Peer Educator Module developed by the National Health Mission (NHM) on the RKSK programme. Various other materials developed by the Adolescent Resource Centre of CINI were also used. The CINI Method, which is an integrated approach for addressing adolescent health issues, has been followed. Participatory methods were used in the training which included group discussions, group presentations, group activities, etc. Here, the participants got a chance to learn and unlearn some pre-determined ideas. They even learned the standard training procedures like pre & post-test assessment, expectation analysis; feedback sharing, etc.
