A total of 174 adolescents appeared for grade 10 examination in 2019 from CINI’s urban intervention pockets. 82% of these adolescents have successfully passed the exam. Out of these 142 adolescents, most of them were child labours or were indirectly involved in supplementing their family income. This group of adolescents also has taken a pivotal role in conducting child-led surveys to identify child labours, drop out and have also prevented many child marriages. Lots of pedagogical, tracking and community development tools were beneficial in supporting these adolescents to continue education till grade X.
