The ICDS System Strengthening and Nutrition Improvement Project (ISSNIP) was launched on 9th May’2013 at New Delhi for which CINI is one of the Technical Assistance Agency.
The other partner agencies are Price Water House Coopers (PWC) and IHMR, Jaipur. CINI is directly looking after four States: Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra.
Dr. Nupur Basu Das, Assistant Director, CINI-Training Unit, is now providing support to Ministry of Women & Child Development as Technical Program Coordinator (TPC) –Training and Capacity Building for ISSNIP.
ISSNIP is a two phased adoptable program lending approach. During PHASE I, for 26 months, it will invest in a combination of high quality techno managerial support at the Central & State levels & strong implementation support at districts & sub districts level. This support will help to strengthen the leadership & operational capacities at different levels, training and monitoring systems and convergent functioning with NRHM and related programs.
PHASE II for four years of the project will aim for large scale application of lessons learnt and approaches evolved during phase I to achieve the major able outcomes.
