Current research evidence indicate that 80% of brain growth takes place during pregnancy and first two years of life. In the this program early identification of pregnancy, safe motherhood practices and attended delivery, exclusive breastfeeding, immunization and supplementary feeding, ensure care and support during this critical Period of the life cycle. CINI trained workers selected from the locality, interact with the mother and care givers in the family to bring about appropriate behaviour change, in ensuring healthy growth and development of women and children. Adolescents from the community are equipped with knowledge to be able to make informed choices about health and nutrition. The project ensures a coordinating mechanism with the government, local self government and community approaches to achieve the outcomes.
