|

(NGO) with its head office in Kolkata
(Calcutta),
India was founded in 1974.
CINI

Child Women
Friendly Community (CWFC)
is the
main approach through which the
activities of nutrition, health ,
education and protection are
integrated in CINI project areas.
This approach has been adopted and
piloted in various locations based
on CINI's learning that vertical
programs are never sustainable and
needs to be integrated at the
community level with active
participation of the community,
elective representatives of the
people and the service providers
such as doctors, nurses, teachers,
etc. Through this approach CINI is
gradually changing its role from a
service provider to a facilitator. |
|
Sustainable
development in health, nutrition, education
and protection of child, adolescent and woman in need.
|
|
CINI reaches out to
over five million people both directly and indirectly in the
states of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. |
|
The
various divisions and units of CINI are not separate components
in themselves but are bound together in a cohesive framework
that works to achieve the mission.
