Overall objectives: The Diamond Harbour Field Unit is committed to serving deprived women and children living in marginal communities of South 24 Parganas District, West Bengal. It works in partnership with Panchayati Raj Institutions, the local administration, service providers, community members and  civil society organisations, through programme implementation, capacity building and advocacy initiatives, with the ultimate goal of creating Child Friendly Community.

Name of person in charge: Mr. Ashutosh Mallick

Ashutosh Mallick holds a Masters Degree in sociology from the University of Kalyani. He has been involved in the development sector for 20 years, with experience in the various phases of the programme cycle. He has been focusing in particular on sexual health and HIV and AIDS. He has attended a number of national and international meetings and training courses, progressively enhancing his capacity in the area of HIV and AIDS.
